IMPROVING THE WAY
SOCIETY REPONDS TO
VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT
WHAT IS JANE DOE NO MORE? Jane Doe No More is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization, born out the experience of founder Donna Palomba, a sexual assault survivor, who came forward for the first time in a Dateline NBC Special aired in April 2007 to share her very personal story.
WHY DO WE LOVE TO SUPPORT JANE DOE NO MORE? Because they're fighting a good fight. Their mission is simple and focused, they ARE working to improve the way society responds to victims of sexual assault.
WHY DID WE CREATE THE JANE DOE NO MORE AWARENESS HEART?Guess... that's right! Awareness is the first step to ending the silence of sexual assault, helping survivors come forward so they can heal as quickly as possible and have the best chance for a full and healthy recovery.
Like the Breast Cancer ribbon, we hope the Jane Doe No More Awareness Heart will remind people of how prevalent and personal this crime is and get people talking about it. In their lifetime, 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer - but did you know that 1 in 6 will be victims of sexual assault?
Sexual Assault is one of the most rampant and under-reported crimes that occurs across the globe. Did you also know that approximately 80% of sexual assaults go unreported and that approximately 75% of victims actually know their attacker?
HOW CAN YOU HELP?? $$$$ You can shop! It's about as simple as it gets, it comes down to dollars and cents- a joint effort that all of us can participate in. By purchasing the Jane Doe No More Awareness Pin, you are showing your support for Sexual Assault Survivors and helping the organization move one step closer to achieving its goals. The pin is a symbol of hope for all victims of sexual assault, their families, friends and everyone this crime touches. It is a show of support, all victims should know that they are not alone, did nothing wrong, and should be treated with dignity and respect.
100% of the proceeds from the sale of the Awareness Heart will benefit Jane Doe No More.
